Another fine weekend is upon us, and with that some fun family events to get into. Check out what’s in store.

Colors of Spice at Opa Locka Branch Library: “Explore the world of spices, as we learn about the history and different uses varying from flavoring, medicinal, and coloring. Prepare to create and take home your own piece of art using seeds, fruit, root and bark as venture into this fragrant experience. Best for ages 8-15 years.” Click here for more information.

Dunkin for Pumpkins at Murrary Park Aquatic Center: “Make a splash in our floating pumpkin patch at Murray Park Aquatic Center on Friday, October 19th from 4 to 6 PM. We'll have decorating stations, spooky music, and spooktacular fun swimming in the pool. This event is $1 per person. All ages welcome, first 200 people guaranteed a pumpkin. ” For more information, click here.

Free Family Fun at Olympia Theater: “Hansel and Gretel at Halloween! Based on the beloved children's story, Hansel and Gretel, the Opera has been delighting family audiences around the world since its premiere in 1893! Join Magic City Opera at the Olympia Theater for a magical journey into this timeless fairy tale. Family Day at Miami Design District: “Join us for a special “Spooky Sunday” themed Family Day! Wear your best costume for Halloween themed activities, haunted storytelling, and a storybook art workshop of "Tuc Tuc Tuc" by author and illustrator Nydia Buch.” For more information, click here.
