The first week of fall flew by and we’re already at the end of September! As we move into October, our lineup of South Florida family weekend fun has you covered when it comes to events everyone in the family will enjoy.

  • Friday, September 28, 2018

Viernes Culturales at Domino Park: “Arts and music festival on the last Friday of every month. Little Havana's popular art and culture festival is a great event for the whole family. Enjoy music and discover works by local artists and artisans in and around our iconic Domino Plaza. Dance, eat, shop and enjoy an evening in Little Havana!” For more information, click here.

Make Mexican Nicho Boxes at Bay Harbor Library: “These display boxes used during Day of the Dead celebrations pay tribute to people of great significance. Bring a 5 x 7 picture of a person you would like to honor and decorate your own box using various materials. Space is limited. Please contact the branch to register. American Indian Day at Miccosukee: “Join us on Saturday, September 29, 2018 as Miccosukee Resort & Gaming celebrates American Indian Day. This year’s celebration will include an assortment of carnival rides, airboat rides, water slides, our world-famous alligator wrestling shows, authentic foods, internationally-recognized performers and more! Featuring an incredible display of Native arts and crafts, this year guests will be able to witness and enjoy numerous interactive and live activities with artists and craftspeople. Please consider bringing a new, unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots as we’ll be collecting throughout the event for this worthy charity. Native Planting Day at Arch Creek Park: “Roll up your sleeves and volunteer at Arch Creek Park’s Native Planting Day. Come earn volunteer service hours and make a difference at Arch Creek Park. This program meets at the park Nature Center; please bring comfortable closed-toe shoes, insect repellent, work gloves, small hand tools, and protection from the sun. Long shirts/pants, water, hats, and sunglasses are highly recommended.” For more information, click here.

Disney on Ice: “"Mickey's Search Party" is a brand-new adventure filled with world-class skating, high-flying acrobatics and unexpected stunts. Tinker Bell takes audiences on a trip through Captain Hook's treasure map as they look for clues.
