Summer is unofficially over, but in South Florida you wouldn't know by looking outside pretty much year-round! In any case, we have some weekend events for you to choose from that will keep the family entertained and help you keep cool as you celebrate Grandparents' Day.

Free Opera Concert at Doral Legacy Park: "Enjoy a night filled with the most beautiful melodies featuring songs like New York New York, The Phantom of the Opera, O mio Babbino Caro, Quando M’en vo’, Boleros and much more." For more information, click here.
Back-to-School Silent Dance Party at the Shops at Downtown Doral: "Downtown Doral, Miami’s premier town center, and Mind Body Social announce the next event in their Summer Pop Up Series – a Back-2-School Silent Dance Party. This is an official Quiet Events party. Picture families dancing the back-to-school blues away but no music can be heard—out loud that is. At a silent dance party, participants put their headphones on, pick one of the three channels, and enjoy an afternoon of crazy fun powered by Quiet Events! The all ages quiet party will be fun for the whole family. Cost is $10 per headphone. Capacity is limited." For more information, click here.

The Children's Trust Family Expo at Miami-Dade Fair Expo: "The Children’s Trust annual Family Expo offers direct access to hundreds of vital educational, health and social services resources, plus giveaways and fun family entertainment. On tap for Expogoers is face painting, magic shows, storytelling, arts and crafts, bounce houses, rock climbing and exhibitors. Sign language interpreters will be on-site throughout the event." Flip Flop Family Fun Fest at Haulover Park: "Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces Disability Services presents a free event at Haulover Park. Individuals with disabilities and their families are welcome to attend. Boat rides, beach activities and a fun zone." For more information, click here.
Grandparents' Day at Flagler Museum: "Share your family history by celebrating Grandparents Day at the Flagler Museum. Families may tour Whitehall with a Tour and Activity Guide for Kids and then enjoy family-friendly activities in the Flagler Kenan Pavilion. Activities include creating a family tree, designing a scrapbook page to commemorate the day, being interviewed by your grandchild, writing a postcard to send to your family, and having a family photo taken in front of Railcar No. 91."
