  • Friday, January 11, 2019

Free Shakespeare in the Park at Pinecrest Gardens: “See Romeo & Juliet at the beautiful Pinecrest Gardens.  There will be two evening shows, one matinee and one twilight performance. The performances are free, but due to the limited number of seats in the amphitheater, tickets must be picked up in advance, or at the door. Food in Motion at Peter Feldman Park: “Join local artisans, farmers, and food trucks on the second Friday of each month at Peter Feldman Park from 5-11 pm for FOOD IN MOTION; An after dark green market & artisan food event! ” For more information, click here.

2019 Beaux Arts Festival at University of Miami “In 1952, the first Beaux Arts Festival of Art, originally called the “Clothesline Sale,” was held. This festival gave young artists a chance to meet the buying public. The Festival of Art became an annual project and is now a juried show with over 200 participating artists in 10 different mediums on the grounds of the University of Miami. It is recognized as one of the leading art shows in the country and attracts acclaimed artists from all over the world.” For more information, click here.

Family Saturdays at Cultural Council of Palm Beach County: “The Council invites families to discover the arts together as they connect and create memories while acquiring new skills through visual art, dance and theater. AIMBY Family Saturdays is a free program presented by various arts and cultural organizations in Palm Beach County. Each monthly event is hosted at the Council’s headquarters.” For more information, click here.

Archaeology Adventure at Arch Creek Park: “Bring the family to explore the fascinating past of Arch Creek Park on this child-friendly adventure! Our naturalist guides will take you on a hike through the tropical hardwood hammock where you will learn about the Tequesta tribe. After the hike, take a hands-on approach to discovery with a demonstration at a mock excavation site and learn the true value of historical and archaeological sites.” For more information, click here.

Gift of Life’s Steps for 5k Run/Walk: “Join us in the fight to cure blood cancers through stem cell and bone marrow transplants!  Each of us has the power within us to save someone's life! Gift of Life Marrow Registry’s Steps for Life 5k Run/Walk South Florida is an event not to be missed! This event features the first time meeting of a recipient and their life-saving donor, as well as a Superhero Sprint for children under 6 years of age and a certified, chip timed run.” For more information, click here.
