Wharf Around the World Food and Wine Festival: “Join us for a weekend of over the top decor, production, and entertainment from some of your favorite global destinations. From the crystal-clear waters of the Caribbean to the rich & colorful culture of Asia, the Wharf is showcasing 9 of the world's greatest contributors of cuisine & cocktails during this weekend-long food & wine festival! There will be live entertainment & music representative of all the countries/regions included in the event including mariachis, Caribbean band, and much more! Every guest will receive a passport upon entrance to be stamped in every country they visit and make a purchase throughout the weekend. When the whole map is completed, the guest can redeem the map for a complimentary Wharf Around the World commemorative t-shirt.” NOTE The Wharf is a 21+ venue. Movie in the Park at the Barnacle: “Spiderman into the Spiderverse”: “This FREE event is hosted on select Fridays of each month at The Barnacle Historic State Park. Bring your blankets and chairs for an evening of movie watching under the stars along beautiful Biscayne Bay. National Trails Day Hike at Everglades National Park: “To celebrate this year's National Trails Day, The American Society of Landscape Architects is partnering with Cadence for a hike in Everglades National Park! The event will be held on June 1st from 9:30am to 11:30am on Long Pine Key. The hike this year will focus on doing our part to mitigate the damages caused by the government shutdown. A carpool will be available to and from the site if you do not wish to drive!” For more information, click here.
Jazz in the Park at Annie Adderly Gillis Park: “The City of Pompano Beach Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department along with Commissioner Perkins will be hosting a great night out of family fun. The second annual Jazz in the Park will be taking place at Annie Adderly Gillis Park on Saturday, June 1st from 4:00pm – 8:00pm. This event will feature live jazz music from the talented musicians of the BSO Jazz Band and the Eric and the Jazzers Band. Grab a bite to eat from one of the delicious local food vendors. Free Yoga by the Bay at Thalatta Estates: “Bring a yoga mat, a towel and get ready to stretch and relax. You must sign a one time waiver and register online to participate.” For more information, click here.
Story Time in the Children’s Garden at Flamingo Gardens: “June's story in our outdoor Children's Garden is "Oh Say Can You Say Dinosaur" by Bonnie Worth. After the story, the children will participate in a yoga stretch and make a related craft. Story Time is free with paid admission (or membership) to Flamingo Gardens. An adult must stay with the child during story time and the craft.” For more information, click here.
