Recipes for your weekend

It’s Super Bowl weekend! You may need some last-minute game bite recipes, and we have you covered with our weekend recipe guide.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sour cream

  • 1 cup mayonnaise

  • 2 tablespoons dried minced onion

  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill weed

  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil

  • 2 teaspoons seasoning salt*

Directions

  1. Add all the ingredients to a small bowl. Mix well to combine.

Ingredients

  • 20 ounces cream cheese

  • 1/4 cup sour cream

  • 2 tablespoons dijon mustard

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 cup beer - amber or lager

  • 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 pound bacon - cooked and chopped

  • 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream

  • 2 green onions - chopped

  • Soft pretzel bites or cubed challah bread

Directions

  1. To a greased 3-qt slow cooker, add the cream cheese, sour cream, dijon, garlic powder, beer, cheese, and about 1/4 cup of the bacon.

  2. Stirring occasionally, cook covered on slow, for 3-4 hours or until the mixture is smooth and heated through.

  3. About 30 minutes before serving, stir in the heavy cream.

  4. When ready to serve, top with the onion and remaining bacon. Serve with pretzel bites or cubed bread.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound medium raw shrimp - peeled and deveined

  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan

  • 4 garlic cloves - minced

  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil

  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt - or to taste

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper - or to taste

  • Juice of 1/2 lemon

  • Parsley leaves - chopped for garnish

  • Cocktail sauce - optional

Directions

  1. Begin by preheating your oven to 350 degrees F. Coat a baking sheet with oil or nonstick spray.

  2. Place the shrimp in a single layer on the baking. Evenly distribute the olive oil, parmesan, garlic, oregano, and basil. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Toss together with a spoon or your hands.

  3. Place the pan of shrimp in the oven and roast the shrimp until just pink, firm, and cooked through. This should take 7-9 minutes. When done, sprinkle with lemon juice.
