Funtastic Fridays at Hollywood ArtsPark: “Enjoy family fun with a DJ, face painter, games, bounce houses and more. Local 10 (WPLG) viewers recently ranked Funtastic Friday # 8 on their "Top 10 Places to Take the Kids" in South Florida list.” Also enjoy a free movie - this week’s selection is “E.T.” Bring a lawn chair or blankets. Screen on the Green: “Screen on the Green transforms the West Palm Beach Waterfront into a theater under the stars. The event begins with free family activities and then you can watch free screenings of your favorite movies and make great memories with friends and family on the second Friday of every month. Join us for family-friendly movies featuring both classic films and newer flicks while overlooking the spectacular waterfront in downtown West Palm Beach. Cardboard Boat Race at City of Hollywood Marina: “This is a fun, family oriented event, and we'd love for you to be a part of the action. Create a team name and theme for your vessel and come join the fun and excitement. See the innovative designs and witness the sheer will to win all the racers share. Aventura Mall Breast Cancer Pink Walk: “We are Pink! Join us for a walk to fight Breast Cancer! Registration begins at 8:00 am on Sunday, October 14 in Center Court, near Macy’s Women followed by a Powerumba warm-up class at 8:30 am. Walkers will participate in a 2-mile indoor walk through the center followed by a multitude of activities including a customization flower bar, fun photo booth, along with light bites and refreshments. Proceeds from the event will benefit the local organization, the Women’s Breast & Heart Initiative. Aventura Mall will match every dollar donated. The first 50 people who donate 20 dollars will receive an “I Pink I Can” t-shirt.” For more information and to RSVP, click here.
DownRight ExtraOrdinary Walk: “The Walk is a Family Fun Event which includes a one-mile walk, free breakfast, bounce houses, petting zoo, rock wall, pony rides, young children’s games, face painting, dunk tank, live entertainment, DJ and dancing and a raffle and silent auction. The event raises funds for the Gold Coast Down Syndrome’s educational, social and advocacy programs (serving all of Palm Beach County) and promotes awareness of the capabilities and talents of persons with Down syndrome. The DownRight ExtraOrdinary Walk attracts 2000 people and in 2017 netted over $170,000.” For more information and to register, click here.
