The temperature has cooled down a bit across South Florida these past few days, and how appropriate to match the holiday season! We have your weekend family fun guide to help you celebrate all that is wonderful during this time of year.

Festival of Trees: “Kick off the holiday season of events at the Deering Estate! Enjoy the sounds of the Yuletide Carolers as you wander through the Estate admiring the historic homes and grounds decorated for the holidays. Holiday Fantasy of Lights: “Tradewinds Park is once again a fantasy of color, lights and design this holiday season. The Holiday Fantasy of Lights, Broward County’s spectacular drive-thru holiday lighting event is returning to Coconut Creek for 2018.The 24th edition of the Holiday Fantasy of Lights, with 3 miles of giant animated holiday displays and illuminated trees, is larger than ever blending the favorites of the past and the excitement of new creations by Brandano Displays. We expect capacity crowds attracting over 125,000 visitors of all ages in 25,000 cars, trucks, motor homes and buses. For more information, click here.

Hoffman’s Chocolates 28th Annual Winter Wonderland: “Hoffman’s Chocolates Factory, Shoppe, Ice Cream Parlour and Gardens is pleased to announce that its 28th Annual Winter Wonderland will open to the public beginning on Saturday, November 17 and it will again feature the Panthers in Palm Beach Ice Skating Rink presented by the Florida Panthers. The gourmet chocolatier is also excited to introduce its new Winter Wonderland attraction, the Santa’s Village presented by Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, an expanded holiday area where families can meet and have their photos taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Hoffman’s Chocolates 28th Annual Winter Wonderland will have more than 125,000 LED lights, captivating holiday displays, a giant 12-foot Christmas tree, live entertainment, fountains, an Arctic zone with lighted polar bears and penguins, a Nativity scene, Christmas trees and a stunningly-decorated Hanukkah display. Winter Festival at Florida Technical College: “At our Winter Festival, you can enjoy time in community, tradition, generosity, and much shared joy. We will have Christmas carolers singing your favorite Christmas songs, games and raffles for children of all ages, and the opportunity to take your picture with Santa Claus to remember the moment. Hanukkah Celebration at Miami Children’s Museum: “Celebrate Hanukkah with us as we roll eight days into one! Start the day off with PJ Library at 10:30am for a special story time, menorah making, and tasty marshmallow dreidels. (PJ Library is a local library serving Jewish children and their families.) Then, join the Musical Maggid at 12:30 pm for a special interactive music session. Learn how to play the dreidel game, and make Hanukkah-themed “yarn bombs” in our Art Studio.
