MLK Day Celebration: “Motivational speaker SaulPaul will entertain, inspire and empower others to live their best life at Tamarac’s MLK Day Celebration at 6 pm on Friday, January 18. This event is being held at the Tamarac Community Center, 8601 W. Commercial Blvd., and is free and open to the public. A musician with a message, SaulPaul is known for using his platform to promote social good and to advocate for youth. He has conducted two TEDx talks, had two hit singles reach number one on Sirius XM and performed on America’s Got Talent as well as at some of the world’s most esteemed music festivals. In addition to SaulPaul’s presentation, the event will include a dance performance by Ashanti Cultural Arts and a reception featuring the artwork of Challenger Elementary and Renaissance Charter students. Homestead Championship Rodeo: “Homestead Championship Rodeo Parade includes floats, bands & groups. 2019 will mark the 70th year of the annual Homestead Championship Rodeo, a tradition that grew out of a group of seventeen founding members who wanted to showcase this unique western sporting event. It is one of the oldest annual professional sporting events in South Florida and the only PRCA Rodeo in Miami-Dade County. Our rodeo is one of nearly 600 sanctioned annually by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA).” For more information, click here.
