Campfire & Night Walk at Arch Creek Park: “Take a night-time stroll into some of the various natural ecosystems of South Florida alongside a naturalist guide to discover the marvelous nocturnal life of the park at dusk. Experience the sights and sounds of eastern screech owls, raccoons, night spiders, and many more nocturnal natives. This program meets at the park EcoCenter; please bring comfortable closed-toe shoes, insect repellent, and a flashlight. Feel free to bring your own marshmallows to roast on our campfire following the walk.” For more information, click here.

Into Africa Opening Reception at The Frank: “TThe Frank presents “Into Africa,” developed in collaboration with the World Wildlife Fund and the Smithsonian Institution, and organized and traveled by the National Geographic Society, this exhibition features the work of one of National Geographic’s most prolific and visionary nature photographers, Frans Lanting. The new exhibition will open Friday, May 24 with a reception from 6 to 9 p.m. Reception guests will enjoy a special performance by students of the flagship ‘Rhythms of Africa’ program at West Broward High School, led by musician and director Willie Stewart. Art Storytime at PAMM: “Every fourth Saturday at 11 am, 3-5 year-olds and their caregivers build on foundations of literacy with a museum story reading followed by a related art activity at PAMM’s Knight Education Center.” For more information, click here.

KidzFest at Flamingo Gardens: “The exhibit features 27 life-size dinosaur replicas staged throughout the arboretum. In the gallery, view the Echoes of Extinction museum exhibit featuring real dinosaur skeletons, fossils, amber, interactive displays, a dinosaur touch bone and a replica dino dig. Meet world renowned paleontologists to learn from the experts with talks and tours. Kids can make dino crafts and go on a dinosaur scavenger hunt.” For more information, click here.

Stingray Feeding at Sandoway Discovery Center: “Join us daily to watch our stingrays eat their lunch! Find out what type of food stingrays eat, learn about their behavior and characteristics and even get to touch one! Admission into the center is $5.00 per person ages 3 and up. South Florida Adventure Pass at Butterfly World: “Five local attractions have joined together to offer the ‘South Florida Adventure Pass’ for the fourth year. For one unbeatable low price, locals and tourists will enjoy unlimited admission this summer to Butterfly World, Xtreme Action Park, Flamingo Gardens, Sawgrass Recreation Park and Young at Art Museum. From animal interactions and lush botanical gardens to art expression and unlimited roller skating, the South Florida Adventure Pass boasts adventures of all kinds. The savings pass will be sold at each participating attraction beginning May 15, 2019, granting unlimited admission to each attraction until September 30, 2019. Free admission to Xtreme Action Park applies to roller skating rink only. The cost is $50 plus tax, per adult and $40 plus tax, per child. Existing annual pass holders can upgrade (only at the originating attraction) to the South Florida Adventure Pass for $40 plus tax, per adult and $30 plus tax, per child.” For more information, click here.
