Oakland Park Soul Fest: “Oakland Park Soul Fest is a celebration of the Soul culture through food, drink, music, and dance. As a family friendly event, Soul Fest will also host the Oakland Park Kids Kitchen as well as a children's activity area. Live music performed by Old Skool Gang (O.S.G.) performing hits from Motown and Soul artists. Songs from The Temptations, The Ojays, Harold Melvin and The Bluenotes, Teddy Pendergrass, Smokey Robinson plus lots more! Rock the Park “Classic Rock Therapy” at Plantation Central Park: “The City of Plantation and Baptist Health presents 'Rock the Park', a free concert series! After a hard work week, come get some music therapy with "Classic Rock Therapy" as they play rock tunes from the 60's to today! CRT will be rockin' Central Park at 7 PM. Coral Gables Art & Mega Festival: “This is the BIG ONE. Are you exhibiting? Sponsoring? Visiting?

New World Symphony Fellows Live on Lincoln Road: “Enjoy a FREE, live performance by New World Symphony Fellows this Sunday, October 6! Join us for a free concert performed by Fellows of the New World Symphony this Sunday, October 6 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the 1111 Lincoln Road Stage. Limited seating will be available. Family Fun Fest at Biscayne National Park: “The 20th season of Biscayne National Park’s multiple award-winning Family Fun Fest kicked off on December 8. All events feature games, science experiments, presentations, crafts and more. Participants receive a passport which they get punched as they complete each of five activities. After collecting all five punches, kids earn a specially-designed button to help them remember the lessons learned. Feb 9: Game of Thrones: The Long Summer. If you thought Tyrion, Jon, Sansa and Arya had it all under control, hang on to your swords. There is a new threat looming: climate change. In addition to 5 activity stations at each event, there will also be one activity station focusing on theme-related creative play for parents with toddlers. “The little guys will earn a button just like their older brothers and sisters, but with activities geared to their skill level,” said program lead Karen Adkins. “Family Fun Fest Junior fills an important niche for parents looking for innovative educational opportunities for their children.” For more information, click here.
