Our Town America 2020: “Coral Springs’ longest running festival is back for its 41st year in 2020. The three-day arts, entertainment, and business festival will begin on Friday, March 13th and continues through Sunday, March 15th at the Coral Springs Sportsplex, located between Sample Road and Royal Palm just East of the Sawgrass Expressway.” For more information, click here.
Beethoven on the Beach: “Beethoven is Back! Orchestra Miami’s annual series of free outdoor concerts- ‘Beethoven on the Beach’- returns this March. This year’s edition- “Pastorale”- features Beethoven's atmospheric and beautiful Symphony N. 6 in F Major, Op. 68. Also on the program is celebrated Chilean violinist Francisca Mendoza performing Tchaikovsky's iconic Violin Concerto in D Major, Op. 55. The 38 musicians of Orchestra Miami will be led by Artistic Director Elaine Rinaldi. Friday, March 13th at 8:00 PM at Pinecrest Gardens, 11000 SW 57 Avenue, Pinecrest 33156. This is a FREE event, however there is a $10 per person suggested donation. Give what you can- no one will be turned away! Stadium-style seating provided- no need to bring a lawn chair! ArtFest in the Pines: “The City of Pembroke Pines invites families, friends, guests and artists to join us for the 22nd Annual ArtFest in the Pines. Exotic Plant Festival and Bonsai Show at Flamingo Gardens: “Flamingo Gardens annual tropical plant event features a Bonsai Show by the Broward Bonsai Society in the Gallery, along with the Grand Opening of Flamingo Gardens new Tropical Fern Garden of unusual and endangered ferns from the tropics and sub-tropics. A variety of plant and landscape experts will have exotic plants, supplies, garden art and accessories for sale along with demonstrations and lectures on various topics throughout the day and a Kid's Gardening Zone. St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival in Downtown Hollywood: “Each year the City of Hollywood and Hibernians of Hollywood team up to host this annual, free celebration of ‘all things Irish.’ This year’s parade and festival will run from noon to 6:00 p.m. Traditional Float Parade: The parade begins at 1 p.m. and will take place on Hollywood Boulevard and Harrison Street between 19th and 21st Avenues. The parade features dozens of floats, local marching bands and spectacular bagpipe and drum corps! Live Entertainment: Stage at Hollywood Boulevard and 19th Avenue; Irish Food & Drink: Downtown restaurants will be offering festival specials including Irish favorites like Corned Beef & Cabbage, Shepherd's Pie and green-colored drinks!” For more information, click here.
Miami Short Film Festival at Deering Estate: “Fall in love with short films at the Deering Estate! On Sunday, March 15th, from 6 to 9 p.m., MIAMIsFF will present ‘Focus on: Love Stories,’ a special screening of films from around the world, with a focus on tales of love and all the forms it can take. The experience of love is explored from the perspective of its beginnings and endings, and all the moments in between, in films like In bed and Drive-Thru among others.
